Welcome to Rawhides Center!

The Rawhides Centre is a full-service bistro and saloon, proudly serving as a vibrant community gathering place in Stenen, SK. Over the years, it has grown into much more than a restaurant, featuring the Wooden Chandelier Room for special events, a spacious outdoor courtyard, and a range of added services including a two-storey spa, beauty salon, barber shop, real estate office, and rental suites across the street. Inside Rawhides, guests can enjoy an ATM, VLT gaming area, jukebox, big-screen TVs, board games, a merchandise store, and a local art gallery—creating a one-of-a-kind atmosphere for entertainment and connection.

Our Story

Brenda and Doug Will moved to the Stenen district in 2000 and, inspired by a need for a local gathering place, envisioned something special for the community. That vision became Rawhides—a bistro and saloon built inside the historic brick schoolhouse.

Renovations began in 2012, and through incredible community effort, Rawhides opened its doors that same summer—just in time for Stenen’s 100th anniversary celebrations.

The space blends historic character with Western charm, featuring reclaimed barn wood, original brickwork, and authentic pioneer-era artifacts throughout.

Over time, Frazer, Melane, and Ingrid joined the ownership team, helping to grow and evolve Rawhides into the destination it is today.
