What a fun, spacious, family friendly western saloon and eatery! A renovated former one-story school, this venue has ample (75-100) seating for dinner, an outdoor fire pit area and a larger dance hall for private functions. The menu is varied offering everything from burgers and steak to chicken, salad and seafood. The ribs are highly recommended. Located at Stenen, SK about an hour north of Yorkton, Rawhides is a unique location not to be missed!
This restaurant is a very unique find in the small town of Stennan. I had no idea this was here, but have heard people raving about the food and experience. This restaurant venue has many options from family, to meetings, to wedding receptions or parties. The outdoor space would be a neat experience and I would love to come back with some friends to try it out. The food was great, the staff was friendly and the shop upstairs had some beautiful furniture for sale. Very cool place
We stayed in one of the suites and my brother in law in another! It was awesome! Perfect location to walk to after a night at Rawhides!
A group of us stopped in at this out of the way resto on the recommendation of some folks in a nearby community. We’re glad they gave us a heads up because Rawhides is a “bit off the beaten path” - but well worth the side trip.
The restaurant/lounge/events facility is housed in a renovated school and while you’re there for a meal be sure to take a tour around the place. They’ve done a remarkable job with the renovations, and the staff you’re sure to run into are very friendly and happy to talk about the place.
As to the food, it’s very good quality for a very good price. Several of our party had the lunch special (Philly Cheesesteak) and were very happy with their choices.
Burgers and noodle bowls rounded out the other orders, and those were delicious as well.
Service was friendly and prompt; vibe is chill and fun; and the venue is first rate. Highly recommend.
Sitting in virtually the middle of nowhere, this place is unbelievable. Meals prepared fresh and from scratch. Noodle bowl and burgers were amazing but you can not leave without trying the home baked brownie with ice cream. The food is fast and expertly prepared and the menu has something for everyone.
The building itself is full of history and the event center is stunning. The staff were so welcoming and happy to give you a tour. Can’t say enough about what a gem this place is. It’s worth a road trip just to check it out and have a serving of small town flavour and hospitality.
My family and I went there for supper for the very first time. We had heard about the place and decided to try it out. What an awesome, pleasing surprise. The atmosphere is so cool and fun. The service was very good and the food is so Impressive. Would definitely encourage everyone to try this place. Guarantee no one will be disappointed.

What an original place. First time I walked around a restaurant because it was so interesting. No expenses spared. My daughter (14) has already declared she wants to get married there. And the food was spot on!

Well I absolutely love this place. I’ve been here countless times. I was also married here. I recommend anyone to come and enjoy this small gem and enjoy the atmosphere. There is a surprising amount of things to do at Rawhides. Eating, getting your mani pedi, getting your hair done, visiting with family and friends. Staying in one of their many dog houses. I rented them for my wedding and they were all awesome. This is just the best place ever. They are incredible to book with and everything is all in one place! Marriage, ceremony, food and booze! They will accommodate you however you see fit. I love Rawhides. It will forever be my favourite place.
Just wow! A hidden gem tucked away in a rural Saskatchewan village. Walking in it’s like stepping into a 5 star restaurant in the midst of a metropolitan area. The food and service does not disappoint. Amazing fine dining that is well worth the trip.
What a great hidden gem! It's definitely worth the drive out to Stenen for a meal at Rawhides! The place is gorgeous, inside and out! Make sure you take the time to wander around and look at everything!
The staff are super friendly and helpful, don't be scared to ask their opinions or for suggestions if you're not sure what you want to order. We had the butter chicken and a noodle bowl and neither disappointed. When they asked about our visit, we mentioned that we were there for a birthday, and not long after we were surprised with a cute birthday treat and a Happy Birthday song! We didn't try any of the cocktails, but they sure had an impressive menu with a lot of delicious sounding drinks!
The timing didn't work out for us, but they had posters up that they hold comedy nights! It's definitely something added to my to do list!

Went to Rawhides for a belated birthday supper last night. Food was excellent, but it's the service that I want to rave about. Both our server and the restaurant manager went above and beyond what was necessary. Their manner, thoughtfulness and surprise birthday dessert made for an memorable evening! Will definitely recommend and be back. Thank you!

Went to Rawhides for lunch. I ordered the beet greek salad which was slightly disappointing as it was an okay greek salad with a bit of pickled beets. The tiramisu however was amazing which made up for salad. The price was reasonable slightly on the high end. The drinks were good and the service was great. Its a neat restaurant as it used to be school the bathroom was exactly like a primary school bathroom which totally added to the ambience. They layout was a little odd but when you convert a building that can be expected. The outdoor patio was lovely and this would be great venue for events. Will likely go again.
A surprisingly good experience. Located in a small town, which I have never heard of before. Almost no signs to pull me in. Word-of-mouth was all it took in this case. My friend and I ordered breakfast just before 12. Mine was eggs Benedict and it was excellent. The value and decor were outstanding.
We were a table of 6 today for lunch. It was one of our best experiences not because the food was A+but because we had the sweetest most patient & pleasant waitress. Thank you so much Alexi. Because of you we will return. Food is amazing with great portion sizes as well. Highly recommend.
